Wheelchair-Bound Man Injured In Collision Has Died


After accident on Queenstown Road near junction with Robertson Street

A wheelchair-bound man injured in a collision with a tipper truck last week has died.

The collision happened jut before 6pm on Friday 27 November in Queenstown Road at the junction with Robertson Road.

The man, aged 67, was taken to a south London hospital in a critical condition. He died on Saturday 28 November. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers have named him as Brian Munro of Daley Thompson Way, Battersea SW8.

The tipper truck driver stopped at the scene and no arrests were made.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are being carried out by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based in Merton. A post-mortem will be held in due course.
