Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Merton Road Collision

An appeal is being made for witnesses after an elderly woman was serious hurt in a road collision this Wednesday (7 February).

The incident occurred shortly before 8.43pm at the junction of Merton Road with Lebanon Gardens, SW18.

The victim, who is in her eighties was taken to a south London hospital, where she remains in a stable condition, with serious leg injuries.

The man driving the vehicle stopped at the scene and assisted police, he was not arrested.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision.
