Still Time To Join the Age UK Wandsworth Abseil Challenge

There is still just time to sign up for this year's London Abseil Challenge and support Age UK Wandsworth.
On Saturday 2 September, there will be a chance to raise vital funds to help the charity combat loneliness among older people by descending 262 feet down the Arcelor Mittal Orbit at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London.
Anyone else wishing to take part can do so if they pledge a minimum £250 in fundraising plus cover a non-refundable £65 entry fee.
The abseil offers breath-taking 20-mile views across London, taking in the capital's landmarks from Big Ben to Wembley Stadium.

The event is part of the charity's celebrations for its diamond anniversary, Age UK Wandsworth is issuing a challenge to its supporters to abseil down a London landmark. A similar event this April raised over £1,600 with Age UK Wandsworth CEO , Natalie de Silva taking part.
As it is in its sixtieth year, the charity has set itself an ambitious fundraising target of £60,000.
Age UK Wandsworth will support you throughout the fundraising process, as well as on the big day. As well as taking on a unique challenge, you will be making a huge difference to the lives of isolated and vulnerable people.
Age UK Wandsworth is a local, independent charity, operating solely in our community which isn’t governed or funded by Age UK the national charity, or Wandsworth Council. This means it depends on the support of local people.
