A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Wandsworth
Police were called on Sunday, 1 April at approximately 1:10am to reports of an injured man on Ellerton Road, SW18. They found a man believed to be in his twenties who has been stabbed.
Despite the best efforts of officers and paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:55am.
His next-of-kin have been informed.
The man detained currently in custody at a west London police station.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating led by Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell.
DCI Cranwell, said: "Sadly, another family has been left devastated with the tragic death of a young man from an act of violence. We are appealing to anyone who was in the area to come forward.
"We know that the victim left a bar in Garratt Lane, SW18 at 01.00hrs and then 12 minutes later he was found on Ellerton Road at the junction with Burntwood Lane.
"Did you see any vehicles or people acting suspiciously in this area at around 01:10hrs? Any information you hold, no matter how small, could prove vital to our investigation."
