24-year-old Billy Botton of Deeside Road in Wandsworth has been charged with the murder of a man in Ellerton Road.
Billy Botton was arrested on April 2nd and charged with murder the following day. He appeared in custody at Wimbledon magistrates court and then via video link at the Old Bailey on Thursday (April 5th).
A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in Ellerton Road on Easter Sunday (April 1st) at approximately 1:10am and despite the best efforts of officers and paramedics the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:55am.
A 21-year-old was arrested over Easter weekend on suspicion of murder but was released with no further action.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell, are investigating.
DCI Cranwell, said, "Sadly, another family has been left devastated with the tragic death of a young man from an act of violence."
