Police ask for information
Detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Wandsworth on Tuesday 9th January.
MPS officers were alerted around 11.30 hrs by Sussex Police to an address in Gideon Road, Wandsworth, SW11.
At the address officers found the body of a 30 year old woman, pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe they know the identity of the dead woman but she has not yet been formally identified.
A post mortem at St George's Hospital mortuary today did not establish a formal cause of death and the police await the results of further tests.
The incident is being investigated by the MPS Specialist Crime Directorate, led by DI David Flood.
He said the incident is being treated as a suspicious death at this stage.
A 28 year old man was arrested in connection with the death in Sussex on Wednesday 9th January. He is currently in hospital after treatment for injuries, not believed life threatening.
