Money was for their personal use and not a Youth Club as claimed
On Monday 20 April 2009,
PCSO Claudette Webber from Wandsworth Common Safer
Neighbourhoods Team was out on patrol when she stopped
two youths who were acting suspiciously on Fieldview
SW18.
The youths had been knocking on doors claiming to be
collecting for a local youth club. After speaking with
the youths it was established that they were actually
collecting for their own personal fund.
A Police unit was called and both were arrested for
fraud under false representation. Both admitted the
offence and have been bailed to return.
