16-Year-Old Boy Shot Near Garratt Lane


In serious condition after being found with a gunshot wound in Tooting

A 16-year-old boy is in serious condition in hospital after being shot in Tooting this Thursday evening (18 April).

The police were called at 9.53pm to reports of shots being fired at Burfield Close which is off Wimbledon Road close to the junction with Garratt Lane.

When they arrived they found no trace of any suspects or injured persons but a few minutes later they were summoned by London Ambulance Service paramedics. They had been called to a residential address at Blackshaw Road, where the boy was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a serious condition. His family has been notified.

Officers from Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating and at this early stage there have been no arrests.
