Teenager Stabbed to Death in Wandsworth


Found on stairs in tower block behind Southside Shopping Centre

Police have opened a murder investigation following the death of a sixteen year old boy in Wandsworth in the early hours of Sunday morning (18th February).

The teenager, who has been named as Peter Hagan of Brixton, was discovered in the stairwell of Albon House on Neville Gill close which is to the rear of the Southside Shopping Centre. He was found unconscious with serious stab wounds at around 1.30am. Paramedics tried in vain to save his life , he passed away at 2.30am.

Peter was studying construction at South Thames College and is described by his family as a fun loving boy who had never previously been in any trouble. He attended Church regularly and enjoyed playing football with his friends.

Detective Superintendent Penny Banham said, "Officers from Wandsworth continue to support our Specialist Crime Operations colleagues with investigative enquiries such as house to house, CCTV enquiries and arrest enquiries of identified outstanding suspects. If you live in and around the Neville Gill Close area, please expect a visit from officers."

Eight persons from an address in Albon House have been arrested, all of whom remain in police custody across London at the current time. There are outstanding suspects.
