Tony
Blair entertains Council leaders following an "excellent"
rating
Deputy
council leader Maurice Heaster and Chief Executive Gerald Jones (pictured

Minister to honour the country's 22 most successful local authorities.
Wandsworth was rated as excellent in the way that it serves local people following the first all-round assessment of its performance by the Audit Commission.
The public service watchdog's corporate performance assessments (CPA) were published in December. The 'excellent' rating was achieved by just 22 out of the 150 authorities assessed.
Wandsworth is one of an elite group of 11 authorities to have scored the highest possible marks for both the standard of its main services and its ability to improve.
