At free Move workshops across Wandsworth
Suitable for families and all abilities, free Move workshops in Wandsworth this May will be hosted by Battersea venues The Mason’s Arms (12th May) and The Magic Garden (9th May) plus WoW Mums at Haven Lodge care home (9th May), as well as at Sprout Arts gallery in Furzedown (14th and 16th May).
The workshops are a great opportunity for people from all walks of life to enjoy a group process of creation and self-expression, and art made may be selected by the curator to become part of the Move collection. Some participants may also be invited to enter an aspiring artists' programme as a solo artist, which offers potential to be part of future exhibits.
At each session a professional artist will guide participants in a supportive and collaborative way to create Move art inspired by performance and movement themes such as music, dance and theatre, reflecting the diversity of the local area.
