Cycle Superhighway Improvements Start On Wandsworth Bridge Roundabout

Wandsworth-Westminster work will last about four weeks

Barclays Cycle Superhighway Route 8 will provide a continuous route between Wandsworth and Westminster, and works to achieve this start on March 2nd and should last about 4 weeks.

Work will include creating a new off-road cycle path on the nearside traffic lane of the eastern section of the roundabout (between York Road and Trinity Road), as well as upgrading the pedestrian crossings on Trinity Road. The work will involve some temporary lane and pedestrian crossing suspensions.

Route 8 is due to launch in summer 2011, providing a safer, faster, more direct and continuous route between Wandsworth and Westminster.
