'Thames Dolphin' Seen Again In Thames Near Oyster Wharf


The mammal has now been spotted just east of Wandsworth Bridge

Following a number of sightings last week of what appears to be a dolphin in the Thames west of Wandsworth Bridge, the mammal has now been spotted futher east along the river.

MPSonthewater this morning (November 6th) reported that they had caught a "tantalising glimpse" of the dophin. The Marine Policing Unit said that dolphin sightings are "not as unusual as you'd think" and that there are "regular sightings of porpoises, seals and dolphins up and down the Thames".

Last week Amy Clayfield tweeted video footage of the dolphin on by the district line bridge over the Thames from Putney to Fulham, while there was also a sighting just up from Hammersmith Bridge with video footage played on BBC London News (see below).
