Murder investigation now launched as man is arrested at the scene
A murder investigation has been launched in Wandworth after a woman was fatally stabbed. A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Police were called on Wednesday 15 August at 12.38pm to a report of a stabbing at a residential address in Grayshott Road.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
A woman, believed to be in her 30s was found with a stab injury and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.34pm.
Her next of kin have not yet been informed and formal identification awaits. A post-morterm examination will be held in due course.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed and at this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
