Nothing else taken from Southfields Mercedes
Engandine Street resident Dan Taylor woke on Friday to find his car had been broken into, although nothing but a model airplane had been stolen.
Mr Taylor, who had heard noises in the night, is mystified as to why anyone would want to steal the model which is one and a half metres long.
Trying to see the lighter side of the theft, he thinks that perhaps the thieves throught they would be able to sell it on, but points out that although he has been flying it for years it doesn't even have any batteries or controls.
Mr Taylor thought his car radio would have been more lucrative.
