The crash happened last Wednesday lunchtime (November 18) causing delays on Trinity Road in the Magdalan Road area, and the officer was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries. He had been thrown from his bike after a collision with a taxi.
Prince William was travelling back to Kensington Palace after visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton.
The Duke is reported by eyewitnesses to have wound down his window to check on the motorcyclist before the remainder of his motorcade moved quickly on.
