Video Released of Assault on Man in Southfields Pub


Left with serious facial injuries after attack at The Old Fields

 

A man was treated for serious facial injuries after being assaulted by three others at The Old Fields Public House on Replingham Road in Southfields. Wandsworth Police have now issued CCTV footage of the incident as part of the resulting investigation.

The attack occurred at around 10.30pm on Sunday, 27 March when the victim left the pub to purchase some groceries from a nearby store, where he got into a disagreement with another man. When they both returned to the pub, this suspect called for his friends to come outside.

Following an argument outside, the victim returned to the pub, followed by the three other men, where he was seriously assaulted as shown in the video. The three men then left the pub and ran off towards Augustus Road.

The victim was taken to a south London hospital where he was treated for serious facial injuries.

The suspects captured by the CCTV being released by officers are described as:

'Suspect 1' [ref: 204199] is described as a 6ft 1in tall white man, aged in his mid to late 20s, with short dark hair, a trimmed black beard and tanned skin. He was wearing a dark hooded ‘puffa-style’ jacket and dark blue jeans turned up at the bottoms.

'Suspect 2' [ref: 204201] is described as a 5ft 10ins tall white man, aged in his mid-30s. He was wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans.

'Suspect 3' [ref: 204202] is described as a white man, 5ft 11ins tall, aged in his late 20s, with a shaved head and stubble. He was wearing a grey hooded top, a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black trainers.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the men or witnessed the assault.
