Local School Scoops Outstanding London Sports Venue Award

Sacred Heart Primary gets accolade for its top notch pitch

Sacred Heart Catholic School has won MyLocalPitch’s Outstanding London Sports Venue Award for the month of September.

The primary school, which is based on Este Road in Clapham Junction, prides itself on being one of the best places to enjoy grassroots football in Wandsworth with Football567. Players can get involved in 5-a-side and 6-a-side fixtures on a pristine 3G astro pitch surrounded by floodlights.

Football567 organise fixtures for adult teams and individuals every week and each features live in-play match updates to enhance the experience. In-depth team and player stats are recorded to ensure everyone knows who is top scorer and worst fouler, although the FA referees do an excellent job officiating the action.

This month’s grassroots award, which is determined by MyLocalPitch users, was based on pitch quality, venue amenities and customer experience.

MyLocalPitch is a platform for sports players who want to find and book sports venues in London. Users have the choice of over 7,000 venues across the city for 16 featured sports.

Jamie Foale, Co-Founder of MyLocalPitch, said, “Football567 do a great job running grassroots football fixtures across London and Sacred Heart is a hugely popular facility. The venue has everything you need to enjoy a game and congratulations to the team who make it so special.”

Yemi Ingram, Managing Director of Football567 said, “It's been a pleasure working in partnership with Sacred Heart for the last 5 years. Our new 3G pitch has become a hub for the local community, by catering for all users. Customers can book and play on a casual basis and we have a number of FA affiliated clubs who use our venue for training sessions. We currently run after work 6 aside leagues, free community sessions for children, kids parties and we even host a family fun afternoon session on Sundays. Our new surface is only 1 year old and as planned, we're meeting all of our community objectives.”
