Firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant on the first floor of the Southside shopping Centre yesterday afternoon..
Over 2,500 people were evacuated by the Brigade and shopping centre staff.
Fifty per cent of the ventilation system on the first floor and the roof of the restaurant was damaged by fire.
Six fire engines from Wandsworth, Tooting, Wimbledon, Fulham, and Clapham fire stations went to the scene with 35 firefighters and officers.
The Brigade was called at 13.52 and the fire was brought under control by 15.30.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
