Southfields Clock To Show Correct Time Once More

After 10 years out of action

Having displayed the wrong time for the last 10 years, the clock on the frontage of Andrews Estate Agents on Replingham Road in Southfields is now due to display the correct time thanks to a major revamp of the branch.

The clock will be switched on officially at a ceremony attended by local Mayor, Councillor Richard Field, this Saturday, 1 October.

The switch back on will take place at 12 noon.

The photo above shows the branch as it is today, and the one below is as it was in 1944 with the National Guard marching past. This was when the shop was occupied by Ryan & Penfold, the builders who were responsible for the construction of the Southfields Grid.
