Trinity Road Bar Wins Two Awards In One Week
Stillwater Bar & Restaurant makes its mark after just one year of opening
Wandsworth's Stillwater Bar & Restaurant has within the last week won two prestigious awards. First it was named 'Best American Restaurant & Bar in South London' at the Lux Magazine Restaurant & Bar Awards and then it won 'Best Bar/Pub in Wandsworth' at the Time Out Love London Awards.
Stillwater is an independent neighbourhood cocktail bar and restaurant on Trinity Road in Wandsworth Common. It was founded in 2017 by Dan Priseman (previous owner of NOLA Bar in Shoreditch and European Four Roses Bourbon Brand Ambassador) and Simon Webster (co-owner of bar industry title BarLifeUK.com ).
Drawing on decades of experience in the hospitality industry, the goal was simply to bring central London quality cocktails and amazing Cajun cuisine to this local setting - with the belief that you shouldn’t have to travel into central London just to "get a great drink, and the best Cajun fried chicken you will ever have".
The newly launched Spring/Summer cocktail menu retains some of the drinks that proved so popular in the first year (such as the Pina Colada Old Fashioned, 3 Orange Gin & Tonic and Clarified Grasshopper Milk Punch) with a dozen new creations. With summer in mind the new list contains twists on classics such as the Watermelon Aperol Spritz, Strawberry Mojito Highball and Georgia Julep.
From the kitchen Cajun Chef, Brett Milligan (previously of TuJacks in Shoreditch), produces classic New Orleans inspired dishes such as Gumbo, Arancini Jambalaya Balls, Chicken Fried Cheese Burger, Blackened Catfish plus, of course, his famous Cajun Fried Chicken.
Owner Dan Priseman says, "We are delighted to have picked up two such prestigious awards after celebrating our one year anniversary. The fact that our locals were so instrumental in making that happen makes the success even sweeter. We look forward to more adventures in year two with our existing locals and new visitors."
To celebrate their wins Stillwater is launching a new Happy Hour promotion between 5pm - 7pm Wednesday to Saturday. The menu will be changing regularly to give people the chance to try lots of their cocktails and food at a discounted price.
