Armed police officers attend scene at Tooting Broadway

Police were called at around 12.50pm last Wednesday (18 November) to reports of a man, reportedly armed with scissors, threatening passengers on a train bound for Tooting Broadway underground station.

Police, including armed officers, attended Tooting Broadway station and a search of the area was carried out but no one matching the description of the man was found.

Armed officers were stood down soon after the incident, but local officers remained in the area for some time afterwards.
