  • The De Morgan Centre

"De Morgan Centre" - a fabulous Gallery and Exhibition Centre houses the most complete collection of the work of William De Morgan the most important ceramic artist of the Arts and Crafts Movement and his wife Evelyn, one of the most important woman painters of the Pre-Raphaelite period. The private papers relating to this most influential creative pair are also at the Centre.

The Centre is expected to become not only London's most important collection of the work of the De Morgan's brought together for the first time under one roof since 1965, but also the venue for a series of lively and challenging exhibitions on topics related to the 19th Century or selling exhibitions of today's craftspeople or the antiques trade specialising in the age of the De Morgans.

Turn left outside Barclays Bank outside the Wandsworth Shopping Centre and follow the High Street about 400 metres on the other side of the road. The exhibition is based in the West Hill library building.
