Police Release Image Of Suspect in Londis Stabbing


Victim was attacked after a fight in Mitcham Road

Police from Wandsworth investigating a stabbing attack have issued an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

On Sunday, 20 August police were called at around 1am to a report of an assault in which a 31-year-old man was stabbed outsde Londis in Mitcham Road.

The victim was stabbed in the chest and neck. He was taken by London Ambulance service to a south London hospital and later discharged after receiving treatment.

The victim had been walking past a Londis shop when the suspect barged into him. A fight broke then out and the victim was stabbed.

The suspect is described as a man in his thirties and 5ft 5ins tall. he was wearing a black hood.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man or who witnessed the incident.

No arrests have been made so far.
