Locals Catch Man Thieving From Vehicle In Bendon Valley


Culprit later pleads guilty to theft from a motor vehicle

On 9 July 2012 at approximately 6:45pm, police were called to Bendon Valley, SW18 where a man was arrested for theft from a motor vehicle, having been detained by two members of public.

He had smashed the window of the vehicle and then climbed in through that window to get to the property inside.

The thief was stopped by the owner of the vehicle and a work colleague, who called the police.

Paul Michael Young, aged 33, was charged with theft from motor vehicle, and on 15th August 2012, pleaded guilty to the offence at South Western Magistrates Court where he received a sentence of 20 weeks.
