Following the chain entering administration in January
HMV has included its Wandsworth branch is the list of stores earmarked for closure, according to its
administrators.
Sixtysix of HMV's two hundred and twenty UK stores are due to close, resulting in 930 job loses, while
HMV head office and admin has already lost nearly
200 employees.
HMV entered administartion at the beginning of 2013 in the face of intense competition from online retailers
and downloads, as well as the supermarkets.
A date for the closure of the Wandsworth branch in the Southside Centre has yet to be confirmed.
