Local MP supports second annual Parliamentary live music competition
Battersea MP, Jane Ellison, is supporting the second annual Parliamentary live music competition, Rock the House, and invites under-18s, solo artists, bands and live music venues in Battersea to write and nominate themselves.
Jane said: “There is a wealth of music talent in Battersea, and I would urge all musicians and live music venues to fill in an application and send it to me. It would be great to put the constituency on the map for its artistic talent and I know from when I used to organise a music festival in north London that the recognition and contacts acts can get from taking part are priceless.”
All forms and information on the competition can be found at www.rockthehouse2012.com and nominations should be sent to jane.ellison.mp@parliament.uk by March 16th, including 'Rock the House' in the subject heading.
Prizes include music equipment and the chance to play at high-profile festivals, together with meeting international music industry experts.
