Julia Day led the Play Streets community campaign in New York to make public space more accessible for children and local residents. New York Mayor Bloomberg has included these ideas in his plan for New York City. Julia, who now lives and works in London, is currently leading an initiative to bring a multi-day ‘Open Streets’ event to London modelled on New York’s Summer Streets. She will tell us about what New York residents achieved and what we can learn for re-imaging the potential of streets in London’s neighbourhoods.

The meeting will be also an opportunity to catch up with the latest developments affecting pedestrians and other road users in Wandsworth.

Please let Susie or Robert know if you can come.
