Married couple found dead on first floor of Wandsworth house
A murder investigation has been launched after the bodies of a man and woman were discovered in a house in Wandsworth.
Police were called shortly before 8.50am on Wednesday 20th November, after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupants of a property in Stormont Road.
Officers were able to gain entry to the house and found the lifeless body of a woman in a first-floor bedroom and the body of a man in a first-floor bathroom.
Next of kin has been informed and the man has been identified as 61 year old Douglas Harry Morton and 73 year old Carol French, a married couple.
At this stage, the death of the woman is being treated as suspicious, while the death of the man is being treated as non-suspicious.
An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
