For outstanding service to the local community
Tooting Town Centre Team were invited to the annual Balham and Tooting Community Association (BATCA) awards evening, where Sgt Iain Martin from Tooting Town Centre received an award for outstanding service to the local community.
The event which was a mixture of entertainment, community updates and an awards ceremony was well attended with local residents, business owners and representatives from the public sector and emergency services.
Sgt Iain Martin said: “I'd like to thank BATCA for this award
for which I am very grateful. Tooting Town Centre Team was set up almost 3 years ago and I believe that this award reflects the daily hard work of my officers, the successes achieved as a result of the partnerships which have been created between my team and the local community as well as the strong relationships which we have forged with Wandsworth Council and other external organisations.”
