Topic for Wandsworth Society's next meeting this Thursday
The Wandsworth Society's next meeting is this Thursday evening, 12th February and will be an opportunity to hear and think about how our streets might be re-designed.
The speaker will be John Dales, Trustee of Living Streets and Director of Urban Movement (a consultancy specialising in transport planning and design of urban streets and spaces). He will give an illustrated talk and discuss the following: how to make streets safer for cyclists and pedestrians; how to rid our streets of the plethora of signage; and “Is 20 [mph] plenty?".
The meeting is at 7.45 for 8 this Thursday at West Side Church, Melody Road, SW18 2QQ (corner with Allfarthing Lane, opposite Wandsworth Prep School). All are welcome; no charge.
