Man Jailed For Stabbing In Wandsworth

A teenager has been jailed for stabbing another man outside a Halfords in Battersea in January this year.

Jacob Taylor, 18, from Wandsworth had previously pleaded guilty to causing Grievous Bodily Harm with intent at Kingston Crown Court on 26th February.

On Friday 18th March, Taylor was sentenced to four years and eight months imprisonment for the GBH, and six months imprisonment, to run concurrently, for possession of a an offensive weapon (a knife).

On Saturday 30th January 2016 at about 2.30pm police were called to reports of a man having been stabbed outside Halfords in York Way.

The 21-year-old victim had been stabbed a number of times but fortunately did not sustain life threatening injuries and was subsequently discharged from hospital.

The incident was investigated by the Metropolitan Police’s Trident Gang and Area Crime Command.

Taylor was arrested on 31st January this year and subsequently charged.
