CCTV footage has been released by police investigating a murder in Wandsworth showing a potential significant witness they wish to speak to.

The man is seen walking in Melody Road, SW18, minutes before 24-year-old Abdullah was fatally stabbed on Tuesday evening, 25 April at around 7.00pm near the junction with Allfarthing Lane. He died of a single kife wound to the heart.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price, who is leading the investigation by the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said, "Abdullah was involved in an altercation with a group of males - including at least one who had got out of a black VW Passatt - in Melody Road near the junction with Quarry Road shortly before being stabbed.

"We have made arrests in this case, and three men have been charged with offences, but I do wish to identify this man as a potential witness.

"I would appeal for him to please come forward, or for anyone who may know who he is to contact police."

A third man was charged in connection with the killing earlier this week. He is the second person to be charged with murder. Another man has been charged with perverting the course of justice. A trial has been listed for 23 October at the Old Bailey.

Four other people have been arrested in connection with the case, three of whom have been released with no further action taken. A 21-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
