Fabulous Feast On St John's Hill

A week of food and drink celebrations

The Traders of St John’s Hill in Battersea have announced that they will hold a week-long 'celebration' of food & drink on St John’s Hill, from 14th-20th May 2012. The Hill is lined with many wonderful food and drink venues, who serve cuisine from around the world. The selection of cuisines on the Hill is huge - from Thai, to African and from Chinese to Indian foods, plus the best fish 'n' chips to traditional pub grub.

During this special week, each of the venues will offer set menus to diners for just £15 per head. The restaurants, bars and cafes invite you to eat out on the Hill and perhaps to try something new. On the Saturday there will be 'Open Kitchen', and the Hill will be filled with live food and drink events such as demos, tastings and classes - plus there will be visiting food & drink stalls and a mini farmers market, hosted both inside and outside the food & drink venues.

£15 menus will be offered in all participating venues during this special 7 day period. The list of participating venues can be seen on stjohnshill.co.uk and they will use this special week as an opportunity to showcase their kitchen’s speciality. Each venue will decide what they offer for £15 - it will differ in each and can be anything from an afternoon tea for two, a selection of small plates, to a 3 course set menu. Bookings for these £15 menus, must be made directly with the individual venues.

Open Kitchen events will be organised and delivered by the host venues on the Saturday (19th) - there will be a mix of free events and paid ones too. Venues will take this opportunity to showcase their food and drink offerings, introducing their cuisine, demonstrating cooking processes, meeting suppliers and producers and much, much more.

  • School of Fish - cook & pick crab and fillet mackerel workshop at FishClub
