Man Arrested For Attempted Murder On Westbridge Road

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Westbridge Road on Friday.

Police and the London Ambulance service were called out to an incident in the road on Friday lunchtime.

A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital and her injuries were reported as non life threatening.

A man, also believed to be in his 40s, was arrested nearby.

Scotland Yard is currently renewing its anti-knife initiative, Operation Sceptre.
