The White Christmas Fair is coming to town and will be held at Test Bed 1 on Parkgate Road in Battersea. Entry for all visitors will be free of charge and the event will feature more than forty stalls filled with hundreds of giftable items.
This event is organised by the team at Gertrude & Ivy - a marketing & event management agency based in Battersea, who have a track record of successful events in the borough including the Northcote Fete 2013 and Old York Road Unplugged 2012. Last Christmas they gave us the White Christmas Market - an outdoor event in WandsworthTtown which was very well received, so this year they have decided to take it indoors.
The selection of gift items for sale at this event will include fur hats, silver jewellery, homewares, ladies fashion, art, antiques, framed prints and more - you can see the full list of items available via the event website: www.WhiteChristmasFair.co.uk
Seasonal foodie treats will also feature prominently at The White Christmas Fair; stock up with Christmas provisions such as quality wine, champagne, mince pies, award-winning chocolate and other lavish festive hamper treats. There will also be a choice of decorations to buy and if you’ve not yet bought your Christmas tree, they, along with festive wreaths, lights and baubles, will be available to purchase on the day.
There will also be a pop-up Blow Bar from Uffizi Hair Gallery with no need to make an appointment, as well as a Santa’s Lounge - the dedicated area to ‘park’ your plus one, this is not a grotto but the place for all those for whom shopping isn’t necessarily a joyous event! The Doodle Bar will be serving hot food, mulled wine and lots of hot drinks for visitors.
Battersea Summer Scheme is the official charity partner of The White Christmas Fair. Since 1992 it has been organising trips, outings and events for under-privileged young people living in the more deprived areas of Battersea and Balham. Their outings operate during the summer holiday and include fun trips and residential courses involving entertaining and challenging activities. Visitors will be invited to support the charity at the event.
