It's Coming Home - Pubs in Wandsworth Showing the Game

Just because it is coming home doesn’t mean you have to watch tonight’s game between England and Croatia from home. There is a wide array of choice of places to see the game at pubs in the local area catering for those who expect to get soaked with beer to England score or prefer to sit down to a quality meal whilst they watch the action.

The Crane on Armoury Way has three screens showing the game including one in the beer garden and will be offering a free drink when ordered with a main meal. The weather this evening in Wandsworth is predicted to be quite sunny with temperatures reaching 25 degrees so the outdoor option for watching the game will be popular.

L’Affaire, the gastro-pub on the High Street have two screens showing the game and booking is not necessary. They have a FIFA special menu details of which are on their Facebook page.

In the centre of town the Spread Eagle is a more traditional pub for sports and has two large screens and two smaller ones showing the game.

The Royal Standard by the train station describes itself as the best place to watch sports action in Wandsworth. The Queen Adelaide has 4 large indoor TV screens as well as a TV outside.

The Alma Tavern is asking for people to pre-book the best seats in their £15 football package.

The County Arms by Wandsworth Common describes itself as the perfect place to watch the game and has more than one widescreen TV.

The Jolly Gardeners in Earlsfield has shown every game so far and boast no less than six screens. They will also be giving out free half time hot dogs. Also in Earlsfield the Country House promises to be lively. The Wandle is offering a series of world cup packages in association with Camden Beers including food and snacks and they are recommending early booking to see the game on their ‘massive’ screen.
