Wandsworth Property Sales - October 2011
Average prices fall back below half a million pounds
The latest home sales reported to the Land Registry in the SW18 area suggest that prices have continued to fall.
During October 2011 there were 101 properties reported as being sold at an average price of £480,468. This is down from the previous month and well below the levels seen during the Summer of the same year.
The top end of the market seems particularly quiet with on 5 properties selling for over £1,000,000. Two properties went for the highest price of £1,600,000 during the month - one on Frewin Road and one on Trinity Road.
According the Land Registry's October report the average price in London was £340,308 which was down by 1.6% on September. Despite this prices are still up over the last 12 months - London is the only area of the UK in which there has been a rise.
The October data from Land Registry's national House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 3.2% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £159,999.
The latest reported sales are given in the table below.
The numbers below are subject to revision as is it usual that some properties are added late to the Land Registry's database.
