Banham Lead The Way To Unlocking Earlsfield Regeneration

With their move to the multi-million pound headquarters

The Banham Group, London’s premier security supplier, are gearing up to move into their multi-million pound headquarters in Earlsfield.

What will be an iconic development, has been designed by award-winning architects Allies and Morrison and boasts a state of the art interior design plan built with a focus on sustainability. With its location on the once industrial site in Thornsett Road, Banham have kick-started the regeneration of the local Earlsfield area, not only through their move but also their commitment to improve the river bank and providing a pollution-free zone.

With over 300 jobs being brought to the Earlsfield area by Banham, Wandsworth Council are expecting an economic boost to local shops and businesses. Wandsworth Council leader, Ravi Govindia, said:

“This is good news for Earlsfield. Not only are Banham bringing a vacant industrial site back into use and offering new employment opportunities to local people, but siting the company’s headquarters here will provide a boost to local shops and businesses and benefit the wider local economy. We warmly welcome this investment in this part of the borough.”

From the humble beginnings of opening their first lock shop in 1926, the move into the new development marks a significant milestone for the family-owned and run business, demonstrating their stellar growth through three generations of the Banham family.

The new headquarters will not only provide a central operating base for servicing Banham’s extensive database of customers, but will also house a unique research centre to allow continued in-house development of innovative security products and features. The headquarters will also accommodate the Group’s Edexcel approved education division, the ‘Banham Academy’ which provides key training and skills to young people seeking employment within the security industry. Furthermore, Banham’s 24-hour alarm receiving centre will be housed onsite and will be quadrupling in size to monitor customer’s alarms and CCTV. The Banham Charitable Foundation will also be based here.

Charles Hallatt, Executive Chairman at Banham said:
“Our move to the new headquarters will be a significant milestone for the company and a start of a new era at Banham. Our development will bring positive use to an area that was once neglected. At Banham, we pride ourselves on being very actively involved with all local areas that we have a presence in by working closely with local residents, councils and Neighbourhood Watch groups. We are proud that our new headquarters in Earlsfield is providing positive reinforcement to the local economy as well as ensuring it is a safe area for residents and local businesses alike. Our development has set a benchmark for the regeneration of the local area and we are very excited to move in.”
