Man Arrested for Drug Driving After Woman Killed on Garratt Lane

A 25-year-old woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car on Garratt Lane this Wednesday (3 January).

She was a pillion passenger on a motorbike which collided with a Honda Civic at 1:30am between Aslett Street and Kimber Road. After being treated at the scene, she was rushed to hospital but died the following day.

The male rider of the motorcycle, believed to be in his forties, was also taken to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.

The 22-year-old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of drug driving causing serious injury. He was taken to a west London police station and has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in March.
