Wandsworth Film-Maker Needs Your Vote

Local director up for London's best short

Local director and writer Corey Macri  has made a film that could be named as one of London’s best shorts, if it wins enough votes from the public.

Under the Influence with Stephen Mensah, is one of sixteen films to be short-listed in the Best of Borough Film Awards (The BoBs), a competition celebrating grassroots film-making talent in London.

It is the story of rap artist Stephen Mensah, who was heading for a life of crime until he found religion. It runs for over eight minutes and Macri was assisted in making it by the Shorts Film Fund, formed last year when the Wandsworth Film Office teamed up with Westminster Arts and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

All the short-listed films can be viewed at www.filmlondon.org.uk/bobs, where you can also cast your vote. The BoBs are organised by Film London, with support from the Mayor, and voting closes on June 30th.
