Three people including two police officers were taken to major trauma centres after a collision on Garratt Lane this Tuesday morning (21 July).

The officers were in an unmarked car at around 10.18am when they were in a collision with another vehicle.

Emergency services including London Fire Brigade attended and all three involved received injuries which were initially treated at the scene and have been described as not life-threatening or changing.

The police say their vehicle was on ‘enquiry duties’ in the Wandsworth area when the crash occurred.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service (LAS) said, "We dispatched a number of resources to the scene including ambulance crews, medics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and our hazardous area response team (HART). We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.”

As a result of the collision there were tailbacks approaching the A217 (Garratt Lane) at the junction of Wandsworth High Street and westbound traffic was particularly slow, approaching Trinity Road.
