Tooting Man Charged with Manslaughter After Fight in Holiday Camp

A 32-year-old man from Tooting has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a death at a seaside resort last year.

Billy Mongey of Tooting Grove is to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (14 May) accused of killing 52-year-old Michael Loughlin from Bedfordshire after allegedly punching him in the head during a fight in a bar.

The police were called to the Butlin’s holiday camp in Bognor Regis on 14 June 2019 to a report of an assault.

Mr Loughlin was treated at the scene but died four days later of his injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
