A 19-year-old man from Walworth in south east London has been charged with murdering a teenager in Wandsworth

Imran Boujdellal of Bronti Close, SE17, was charged by detectives on Saturday, 31 October and was due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on the same day.

The victim has been named as 15-year-old Joseph Marafini from Wandsworth. He was found with stab wounds near the burial ground on Garratt Lane at around 4.58pm on Thursday, 29 October. He was taken to hospital but later died.

The police had been called to the location after a report of a fight outside a nearby supermarket.

An investigation led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is underway, and specially trained officers are supporting his family.

A second stabbing victim’s injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening.

Two further arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Thursday, 29 October on suspicion of affray. He has since been released without further action.

Another 17-year-old male was arrested on Saturday, 31 October on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
