Police charge Paulo Mendes with murder in Juniper Drive

A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder after the body was found at an address in Wandsworth.

On Tuesday 23 May, Police responding to concerns that had been raised for the welfare of 60-year-old Peter Sisson entered a property on Juniper Drive, SW18 where they found his body.

His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A post-mortem did not identify a formal cause of death and more tests are to be carried out.

On Sunday 28 May, Paulo Mendes, of no fixed address was charged with the murder of Mr Sisson.

He is due to appear in custody at a magistrates’ court on Monday, 29 May.

Due to the circumstances, detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
