Scottish-based brewer and pub chain has opened up in the Southside Shopping Centre. The bar, which is situated on Garratt Lane, next to Pret, was launched on Friday (27 January).

Licensed to open until midnight, it will serve craft beer, cider, wine, and spirits as well as burgers and chicken wings with brunch available at weekends.

The company’s CEO James Brown said, “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to bring our ethos of craft beer and sustainability to Wandsworth.

“We’re a proud Living Wage employer that shares 50% of our profits with our team from the bar, as well as engaging with local breweries through community events in the area.”

The venue will provide guest tap opportunities for local brewers with Mondo, Distortion and Belleville set to feature.

Brewdog is a multinational company which claims to be the number one craft brewer in London. It was found in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, who remain major shareholders.

The company places a great deal of stress on its environmental credentials, describing its venues as carbon negative but has been involved in a number of controversies including making misleading advertising claims and allegations of a toxic work culture.
